The ‘Ski Juwel Alpbachtal und Wildschönau’ ski resort offers 145 kilometres of slopes, making it the perfect snow playground for all winter sports enthusiasts.
You can learn or perfect your skiing and snowboarding skills at one of the excellent ski schools. If you fancy a change of pace, you can enjoy tobogganing or sledging, or go on a fantastic snowshoe hike.

Our hotel is centrally located in the valley. You can choose from three easily accessible ski areas: Oberau is particularly suitable for beginners, while the sunny Schatzberg ski area with its dreamlike views fulfils every skier's wishes. Slopes of all levels of difficulty and short waiting times at the lifts ensure carefree enjoyment. The area in Niederau offers long and interesting descents and the Race'n Boarder Arena.

Snowboarding
There are lots of great snowboarding areas in Wildschönau.
There is something for everyone and the range of activities on offer is constantly expanding. The Race'nBoarder Arena in Niederau and the Snowboard Family Park in Auffach are particularly attractive.
Cross-country skiing
Many kilometres of perfectly groomed cross-country trails throughout the valley invite you to enjoy long tours. The terrain also offers great routes for ambitious runners. The entrance to the trail system is only a few metres away from the hotel.
Sledging
Sledging is always exciting and makes for a great change of pace during a winter sports week. Several toboggan runs offer lots of fun.
Night tobogganing
A night tobogganing party at the Roggenboden ski resort is always a highlight to round off a successful day. Tip: accessible in a 20-minute torchlight hike from the hotel.
Ice rink Drachental
The Drachental ice rink is located in the centre of Oberau, so you can easily walk there.
Ice rink Arena Kundl
In Kundl, about 20 km from Oberau, there is an ice rink that is open to the public from mid-October to mid-March. A sports shop with an attached shoe service and shoe rental, as well as a restaurant and buffet, complete the offer.
